Study Hints: You are responsible for material in both the lectures and the reading from the required texts. If some topic in the reading seems tangential to the main thrust of the course, you can ask JPark after lecture whether it is relevant for the exam. Bring a calculator to the exam, but dont expect all (or even many) questions to require it.
To help you prepare, peruse the 1997 midterm for examples of the types of questions asked. Be aware, however, that the course material in 1997 differed slightly from this year AND the 1997 exam was given in the 7th week in a 90-minute period. Friday's hour exam will be shorter and cover only the material through Wednesday's lecture.
