ThermoFinnigan MAT 253 with GCC III:
Samples:  Anything you can separate on a capillary GC column (within reason)
avoid halogenated samples (poisons the combustion reactor)
nitrogen in sample can interfere with CO2 analysis for 13C
clean separations needed--reaction tubes broaden peaks
Sizes:  ~10 nmoles gas per species coming off column
gas (CO2, H2, etc.), species, and GC method dependant
    test runs needed
    injection size ~ 1uL (insert dependant)--adjust concentrations
Stuff:  Trace GC
    Split/Splitless or PTV injector
60m DB1 column (you can supply others)
    CTC Pal autoinjector
Combustion or Reduction reactors (CO2, N2, H2, CO)
Cold trap to rig up (if needed)
    MAT 253
