Velocity of compressional seismic waves in the lithosphere
is presented as deviations from 1-dimensional velocity structure
(IASPEI91). Colored surfaces enclose zones where deviation
from 1D are over 3%, blue being fast and red being slow.
This 3D distribution of velocity was obtained by inverting ~1000
measurements of travel time and ~120 measurements of polarization
of the teleseismic P waves recorded by a local short-period network.
This work is also a third chapter of my PhD thesis.
